Central, North, Coastal, Valley and West Texas each run on their own calendar. The gap between the Valley and the Panhandle is about six weeks.
Spring sowing
Warm-season flowers go in after your last frost: mid-February in the Valley, mid-March in Central Texas, mid-April in the north.
Fall sowing
October and November are our favorite planting months. Cool-season flowers like snapdragons and ranunculus set deep roots over winter and bloom weeks earlier than spring-sown plants.
